Busch Gardens - Tampa Bay bills itself as "the ultimate family
adventure park." offering an array of fascinating attractions
based on exotic encounters with the African continent.
Like other world-famous adventure parks such as King's Island
and Cedar Point, Busch Gardens excels in thrilling rides and
roller coasters. Busch Garden's Sheikra climbs to an amazing
200 feet,pauses,and then dives 90 degrees...straight down!
That's just the first drop. Sheikra also includes a 138 foot dive,
a loop, a tunnel and a big splash water surprise.
Busch Gardens sets itself apart by offering one of the country's
premier zoos featuring more than 2,000 animal, a train that takes
you alongside the animals, a skycar that takes you over the animals
and a guided adventure truck safari that takes you through streams
and hills and valleys right beside the animals.
We enjoyed the live musical production of “KaTonga: Musical Tales
From the Jungle” which takes you on a journey to the heart of Africa
in a 35-minute musical celebration of animal folklore and traditional
African stories through puppets,folklore,music and African-inspired
dance.
Other rides include Kumba,Montu,Gwazi,Cheetah Chase,Air Grover,
Scorpion, The Wild Surge,Jungle Flyers,Rhino Rally,Congo River
Rapids,Stanley Falls,and theTanganyika Tidal Wave.
The new Sesame Street Safari of Fun offers "a family-friendly African
adventure filled with kid-size rides, cool water fun and plenty of memorable
adventures" where kids can dip and dive through the desert on the Air
Grover junior coaster,climb and play in Elmo’s Tree House, splash and
refresh in Bert and Ernie’s water play area and watch their Sesame
Street friends in African-inspired shows.
