Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter
If you are looking for an unforgettable Bahamas experience while visiting Nassau, the Blue Lagoon has it all - white sand beaches leading to their stunning tourquoise lagoon, lounge chairs and hammocks shaded by gorgeous palm trees, tropical birds, coral reefs and actual hands-on encounters with dolphins and sea lions!
It is such an extraordinary setting that it has been used in such films as Splash starring Tom Hanks, Flipper starring Paul Hogan and Elijah Wood, and Andre starring Keith Carradine.
Each trip to Blue Lagoon Island begins in Nassau with a ride on large, high-speed, double-decker catamarans through Nassau’s historic harbour with extraordinary views of Nassau, Paradise Island, and the Atlantis Resort.
Dolphin Encounters, which showcases dolphins and sea lions in their natural habitat, is well worth the price and provides wonderful stories to share when you get back home from vacation. How many people can claim to have kissed a dolphin on the lips?
The Dolphin Encounter program offers a Dolphin Encounter, a Dolphin Swim and a Sea Lion Encounter. We chose the Dolphin Encounter and had an amazing experience with a dolphin named Salvador who hugged, kissed and danced with each person in our group in addition to showing us his incredible jumping and swimming skills. This was one of the best excursions we have done anywhere!
What if you just don't feel like swimming with a dolphin or sea lion this vacation? Blue Lagoon also offers a beach day package where you can just roam the island, nap in a hammock, swim in the lagoon and enjoy the beauty all around you.
Dolphin Encounters received the prestigious Cacique Award - the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism’s highest honor for excellence in tourism. It is easy to see why.
Located just three miles from Nassau, Blue Lagoon Island offers everything you dream about when picturing a private tropical island.
